Leaseguard Group Limited |
Peter Mullin
Founder and CEO of Leaseguard, Peter has overseen the company's transformation. 20 years ago Leaseguard started life as leasing consultants.
Today, with 30 staff and growing fast, we help more than 50 NHS Trusts generate savings in a whole variety of ways.
A keen and (very) competitive sportsman, Peter has recently cycled 400km across Kenya for charity.
Jon Wickens
A director of the company, Jon is responsible for managing a team of 13 professionals in our Maintenance Lifecycle division.
His team comprises Project Managers, Negotiators, Account Managers and Key Supplier managers. We asked Jon about hobbies but,
having grown his team from 3 to 16 people in a little over 2 years, Jon has his hands full!
Stuart Jefcoate
Stuart is our Commercial Director. Those who know him will already be aware of his legendary tenacity and sharp wit.
What they may not know is that he spends his weekends racing round a track in his beloved vintage 911. We suspect he would race during the week too if he could,
but it normally takes a whole week to fix the car.
Erin Carter
As Finance Director, Erin manages a team of 4 and provides not only financial management of the business but is also responsible for lease tendering,
tender evaluation and the management of our clients' significant lease portfolios. Currently on maternity leave with her first child, Erin is fast discovering that Leaseguard is not the 'most demanding job I have ever had'.
Simon Hooper
Our IT Director, Simon and his team of 5 are responsible for developing and supporting our OPTIMiSe systems, used both to support our clients
and to manage our entire business. No pressure there then, Simon! Having spent some of his early career working in Japan, Simon is an avowed Japanophile.
Thankfully, however, we are yet to see his kimono.
Debbie Edwards
A lead negotiator in the Maintenance Lifecycle team, Debbie's job is to ensure that budget holders get precisely the cover they need at optimum cost.
Debbie is something of a car enthusiast with two soft top sports cars to her name.
As a result Debbie is praying even harder than the rest of us that summer actually happens this year.
Ashwini Karkala
A recent recruit to our burgeoning IT team, Ashwini is in charge of testing new developments to ensure that our OPTIMiSe systems work perfectly. Calm, efficient and organised, Ashwini is highly effective. Which is just as well as all our systems are business critical and changing on an almost weekly basis. Working with a team of golf enthusiasts, Ashwini has decided if you can't beat them, join them. She is taking up Golf!
Nasir Bhutta
Nasir works in the IT team as a Systems Analyst where he is responsible for translating the needs of the business into effective software solutions.
When not at work, Nasir is a busy man. He is currently working on his PhD in Electrical Engineering which he hopes to finish this year, having spent much of the previous year planning his recent wedding.
Nicole Burns
Nicole has had a varied life at Leaseguard. Originally responsible for our accounts function, she has recently moved into the leasing team where she will be
responsible for managing lease tenders and lease portfolio for our 50 retained leasing clients. All sweetness and light during the working week, at weekends
she metamorphoses into a feared rugby player. No, we couldn't believe it either.
Anne Carter
Anne is our mother hen. Every office needs one, but we reckon ours is better than most. When not charming our clients on the telephone or managing lease tenders,
Anne keeps us in order - and pens - and post-it notes. When not working, Anne will be found in the kitchen cooking something scrumptious. Anne is a self-confessed foodie and
is also quite partial to a glass (or two) of vino.
Alice Collier
Having recently spent a year travelling the world, Alice joined us recently as a Negotiator in our Maintenance Lifecycle division.
Alice is nothing if not intrepid. During her travels, Alice completed the world's most dangerous bike ride in Bolivia,
on which more than 200 people lose their lives every year. And, to keep the adrenalin flowing, Alice has recently taken up rock-climbing.
Alan Comerie
Living in Nottingham, Alan mainly looks after our leasing clients in the north although, like the birds, he seems to migrate south with ever increasing frequency.
Alan is a Newcastle fan, although we try not to hold it against him. And his father was in one of the first SAS regiments. So, if you see a man wearing a
balaclava and just a stripy shirt in the middle of winter, that'll be Alan.
Jackie Folliard
Working with Rob New in our Maintenance Lifecycle team, Jackie is one of our project managers. She assimilates contract data from our clients,
enters it into the systems, creates workstreams for each of the other team members and ensures that the work is done on time, every time.
Luckily for us, Jackie is something of a terrier. Once she has her teeth into something, she doesn't let go.
Louise Fraser
Louise is one of the contract managers and is responsible for negotiating maintenance contract renewals for our NHS Trust Clients.
Apart from her children she loves nothing more than shopping for shoes and a glass of wine or two... if the two can be combined she's in heaven!
Lizzie Hooper
Lizzie is another recent recruit to the maintenance team and claims the prize for being our youngest employee.
Lizzie helps to manage administration for the implementation of our Lifecycle service for new customers.
Despite being so young, Lizzie already lists shopping as a core skill and is an ardent foodie, a fan particularly of French and Italian cuisine.
Nicola Johnston
As Contract Manager, Nicola is responsible for negotiating and managing maintenance contract renewals for our NHS Trust clients.
Having already learned to drive cattle in Australia, Nicola has finally learned to drive a car and has recently passed her test.
Lekka Light
Having recently been promoted from negotiator to manager of the Negotiations Team, Lekka is now responsible for a team of three. When she is not helping our clients, Lekka takes full advantage of our location in deepest Oxfordshire and, whenever she gets the chance,
loves nothing more than riding horses. Her promise to herself is that one day she will own her own.
Olgierd Michalowski
A software engineer and database expert, Olgierd recently joined our ever expanding IT department to help us build the next generation of OPTIMiSe.
In addition to being fluent in IT, Olgierd also speaks 4 languages - Russian, Polish, German and English.
A very active sportsman in his spare time, Olgierd is also a big fan of 'anything old', particularly old cars.
Niki Moores
Niki has joined us recently to manage the company's accounts. In addition, she is also learning the ropes in the leasing team where she will be supporting our
leasing clients temporarily to cover a sudden spate of pregnancies (it's the Oxfordshire air!).
With three children, two of whom are boys, and a sports mad husband, Niki describes herself as a 'football casualty and taxi service'.
Rob New
Rob is an experienced Project Manager, responsible for running numerous projects for our Maintenance Lifecycle customers.
Never happier than when immersed in a spreadsheet or a Gantt chart, Rob is the very definition of 'organised'. Having just bought a
house as a major restoration project, Rob is positively relishing the detail required to manage the project. The builders won't know what's hit them!
Emma Norton-Smith
Recently promoted to Manager of the Contracts Team, Emma is now responsible for three Contracts Managers. Having recently moved into a new house Emma has spent much of the summer decorating. Now that winter is with us, she enjoys nothing better than being on the sideline of a rugby match with her husband and a pint of Guinness in hand!
Brad Oakley
Part of the IT team, Brad is responsible for our IT infrastructure and continuous testing of our OPTIMiSe systems.
If anyone knows how to keep the PCs of the computer illiterate working, Brad does! An expert robotics engineer, in his spare time Brad is participating in a global project to build life size,
realistic and automated models of R2D2. Why? Now that's a question you'll have to ask him.
Michael Porter
Michael is one of our leasing Account Managers, helping our clients get the most from their lease deals and their existing lease portfolio.
Michael is our very own Dr. Pop. What he doesn't know about rock and pop probably isn't worth knowing. On a mission to convert his three teenagers to the joys of Wishbone Ash, Led Zeppelin and King Crimson, we suspect he may be fighting a losing battle.
Julie Redgrave
A new member of the contracts management team Julie has joined as an administrator to support the contract managers.
Having recently relocated from Plymouth with her partner, Leaseguard's office location reminds Julie of home. We all hope this helps her settle into her new job.
When not at work Julie enjoys socialising and going to see the latest release at the cinema.
Lesley Saunders
One of the negotiators in the Maintenance Lifecycle team, Lesley is the life and soul of the party and always full of beans.
Her energy allows her to combine being a mother of a young son with her love of riding and running. Lesley was recently able to claim her 15 minutes of fame, appearing on the television in an episode of 'To Buy or Not to Buy'.
Emily Seymour
In just a year, Emily is already on her second job in our Maintenance Lifecycle team. Now the Account Manager,
Emily's job is to act as a bridge between our clients, the Project Management team and the negotiators to make certain we deliver what our clients need, when they need it.
Emily has two loves - shopping and Boycie. But men in Oxfordshire can relax. Boycie is a dog.
Lee Tran
Lead developer for the OPTIMiSe systems that drive our whole business, Lee is a valued member of the IT team. Since arriving at Leaseguard many years ago,
Lee is now married with two young children. And, like many young men thrust into fatherhood, Lee has suddenly developed a passion for Golf.
Of course we believe him when he insists it's just for the fresh air and not an exercise in escapism.
Diane Valentine
A recent recruit to our Maintenance Lifecycle team, Diane is responsible for managing contract renewals.
Outside of work Diane loves her Mini "Glittery Felicity" and this year will be taking part in the 25th anniversary London to Brighton Run,
which is trying to enter the Guinness book of world records as the longest convoy of Mini's.
Charlie Watson
Charlie has joined as the second Account Manager for the Maintenance Lifecycle team.
She spends most of her time out and about onsite with our customers to ensure they get the very best from the service. An ardent football fan, Charlie's claim to fame is appearing as a Soccerette on Soccer AM in her Newcastle kit. Charlie is a qualified Personal Trainer and enjoys inflicting pain on her subjects in her spare time.
Laura Whelpdale-Edwards
One of our longest serving employees, Laura manages tendering, structuring and administration for our lease management service.
Keeping almost 50 retained Trusts happy with our service takes most of her time but Laura made the smart move and married a chef.
So now she doesn't need to worry about shopping - or even being home in time to cook. How the other half live....
