Procurement solutions that deliver savings against established benchmarks across a range of procurements, from beds replacement to energy procurement.

Leaseguard approached this beds project with a different perspective, and showed us how we could save over £150k in maintenance costs alone. As well as delivering savings, our contracts are now better suited to meet our clinical needs

Our strategy to achieve this is equally straightforward. We recruit the very best commercial talent we can find. We train them to deliver the highest possible level of service. And we support their work by developing the very best systems available in this sector.

The resources to deliver accurate inventories

Exerting control over any aspect of assets, be it cost, risk, maintenance or replacement, demands a keen understanding of a Trust's asset base. However, the reality of the way hospitals work means that keeping an up to date and accurate inventory of a Trust's assets is a far from trivial challenge.

Assets are constantly on the move, ensuring that any reliable quickly becomes out of date. In reality, Trusts have only two ways of ensuring the accuracy of asset inventories:

Real Time Location Tracking
By implementing Real Time Location Tracking using RFID tags, it is potentially possible to track the location of assets in real time. For most Trusts this is not an option requiring, as it does, significant investment in RFID and Cisco technology. Prior to embarking on any such project, however, an accurate inventory is an essential pre-requisite.

Asset Auditing
To reflect the ever changing asset landscape, Trusts must regularly audit their asset base to report current location to any asset databases. For many Trusts this is a considerable challenge as it consumes significant qualified Biomed staff resources on an ongoing resource. The lack of availability of suitably qualified staff with time available to run and manage audits means that, for many Trusts, continuous and accurate auditing is an unrealistic goal.

Asset Auditing from Leaseguard

An asset audit from Leaseguard provides the opportunity to achieve accurate inventories of assets without the extensive use of internal resources.

With our partner, an experienced BioMed company, Leaseguard are able to manage the entire auditing process on behalf of Trusts. Dependant on requirements, the service is flexible and is able to provide a range of audits, from a relatively quick scan of all barcoded assets to a full technical and condition audit on specified groups of assets.
